VILLA GAIA GANDINI

It was the former residence of the most important families of Milanese nobility, from Ludovico Sforza (Il Moro – The Moor) to the Borromeos. Villa Gaia Gandini is one of the oldest buildings along the Navigli canal district in Milan, and it is steeped in history. Villa Gaia gained its current name at the end of the 15th century as a place of entertainment for Ludovico Sforza (Il Moro – The Moor), who used it as a hunting lodge.

The piano nobile (main floor) of Villa Gaia Gandini is a space dedicated to the art that is housed there. The frescoed walls and fine furnishings revive the past with the noble atmosphere of times gone by Its splendid and well-kept green park, with its tree-lined avenues, provides a backdrop to Villa Gaia’s architecture stratified over time. Brimming with artistic masterpieces such as statues and frescoes, it is the perfect venue for weddings and wedding photographers in Milan.
